  • Bruce Schneier's November 15, 2005 Crypto-Gram (210)
The first article is an excellent treatise on RFID chips in passports and why something else (smart-card technologies for example) should be used instead. Required reading in North America!
  • Deconstructing stupidity (251)
In two earlier columns on Europe’s database directive, and European public information, I pointed out that our policy-process is almost evidence-free. New rights are created on the basis of anecdote and scaremongering. There are other examples and they are not confined to Europe.
  • Earthlink Spy Audit (377)
More information on spyware and privacy concerns
  • Excellent talk on why DRM is not useful today (251)
From a talk to Microsoft's DRM group, this gets into more detail than I do, and is worth reading if you have even the slightest interest in why you can't copy a DVD to VHS or why scientists and researchers are being thrown in jail for telling us why something is broken (and why some country's researchers are not going to the USA to give talks anymore.)
  • Small Business Directory (219)
links to all manner of business help
